Colored poster of the First World War. In the upper part, a drawing showing the arrival of an American ship framed by two allegories (the Old World and the New World). In the lower part, a propaganda text extolling the United States, its history and actions.Victor Prouvé (1858 - 1943) was a French painter, sculptor and printmaker, member of the artistic movement called the Nancy School. From 1919 to 1940 he was director of the École des Beaux-Arts de Nancy.
