Color photomechanical relief halftone on coated paper, mounted on cardboard. Below the image the number and caption with the title. Good condition. Nice and bright colors. Very rare series with city views, natural scenery and life scenes. Very important from an anthropological point of view is the card featuring a group of sugar cane workers in Florida, numbered 99 “Native Cane Grinders in Sunny Florida”. Other stereographs illustrate the gardens of Honolulu, various views of Chicago, among which the "Chicago River on a Foggy Morning" stands out, dated 1898, the Niagara Falls, grandiose scenarios of Yosemite and Colorado, several of Washington, among which “The Capitol”.Truman Ward Ingersoll, 1862 – 1922, eminent photographer, is known for the stereoviews he published in the United States and other areas. In the early 20th century he also produced half-tone lithoviews. His company was named Ingersoll View Company. The Library of Congress also has a collection of his works.A copy of the stereograph featuring sugarcane workers at the Princeton University Art Museum, described as follows: “99. Native Cane Grinders in Sunny Florida, ca. 1890 / Truman Ward Ingersoll, American, 1862–1922 / Albumen print with hand coloring”, Object Number 2017-43.
