Contemporary binding in full red morocco, fluted spine decorated with double gilt fillets decorated with flowers and fleur-de-lys in the centre, richly decorated covers with rich gilt sections with fanfare consisting of quadruple gilt rules intertwined and decorated with foliage, small gilt lace framing, gilt coats of arms and numerals in the centre of King Louis XV, gilt roulettes, all edges gilt. Illustrated with an engraved frontispiece and title, 4 plates after Humblot engraved by Scotin. Stippled copy in red. Faded headpieces, some traces of wear on binding, brownong, scattered foxing.
