Wichtiger Psalmenkommentar des bedeutendten Hebraisten und Benediktiners Genebrard (1535-1597), erstmals 1577 in Paris erschienen. - Etwas gebräunt und fleckig, teils leicht wasserrandig. 1 Bl. mit zeitgen. hs. Annotationen. Part I (of II). With engraved title, calendar in red and black and a full page woodcut. Cont. spine label with later spine label (somewhat stained, creased and bumped). - The woodcut monogrammed "E.D.P." shows the angel announcing the choice of punishments to David. Important commentary on the Psalms by the distinguished Hebraist and Benedictine Genebrard (1535-1597), first published in Paris in 1577. - Somewhat browned and spotted, partly slightly waterstained. 1st fol. with contemporary handwritten annotations. Spanish painter, disciple of Ramón Martí Alsina. Works by Torrescassana are preserved, among others, in the National Museum of Art of Catalonia, the Víctor Balaguer Library Museum, or the Museum of Art of Gerona, and the collection of Banco Sabadell, with a painting dedicated to the vintage in which the traditional realism that characterized much of his painting, closely linked to the teachings received from Martí Alsina, opens up to new studies of light. As for portraits, also abundant in his artistic production, the University of Barcelona keeps the portrait of Pablo González Huebra in the rectoral gallery, as well as in the dining room of Antoni Gaudí's Casa Vicens.
