Piccola spada per funzionari e diplomatici dell'Impero, 1900 circa. Lama dritta e robusta a un solo taglio, marchio Wolfsangel (Solingen) impresso sul dritto, firma del fornitore incisa "G. Laute Berlin" sul retro, ricca incisione decorativa con viticci e trofei su entrambi i lati. Elsa pesante in metallo colorato in più pezzi con ricca decorazione a rilievo (elsa e piastra di guardia allentate), pomo a testa d'aquila, aquila imperiale con corona imperiale sulla piastra di guardia e belle scaglie di impugnatura in madreperla. Mit Wasserzeichen (Löwe mit Schwert und Initialen C.D.L.). - Das außergewöhnliche Manuskript vereint 18 handgeschriebene Fabeln in fein leserlicher und geschwungener Schrift. Die lavierten Federzeichnungen, welche die Fabeln begleiten sind mit äußerster Sorgfalt ausgeführt und illustrieren das Werk wunderbar in ihrer minutiösen Darstellung der Tiere und Landschaften. Als Vorbild für das vorliegende Manuskript und die Zeichnungen schien eine von Sadeler illustrierte Ausgabe der Fabeln zu dienen, welche 1743 in Paris erschien: Les fables d'Ésope gravées par Sadeler, avec un discours préliminaire & les sens moraux en distiques. - Papierbedingt gebräunt. Im oberen Rand etwas gewellt. Vereinzelt etwas fleckig. Einige Bll. mit kleinem Wasserfleck. Insgesamt sehr gut erhalten. French manuscript with 18 hand drawings. Late 18th / early 19th c. Modern half cloth with marbled boards and mounted cover label (somewhat rubbed). - With watermark (lion with sword and initials C.D.L.). - This extraordinary manuscript combines 18 handwritten fables in finely legible and curved script. The pen-and-ink drawings accompanying the fables are executed with the utmost care and beautifully illustrate the work in their meticulous depiction of animals and landscapes. The model for the present manuscript and drawings seems to have been a French edition of the fables illustrated by Sadeler in 1743. - Paper browned. Somewhat wavy in the upper part. Sporadically somewhat spotted. A few leaves with a small water stain. Overall very well preserved.

Postkarten vorwiegend von Katja Windecker, Ehefrau des deutschen Generalkonsuls Dr. Adolf Windecker (1891-1974) in Singapur. 1938-1939. Meist mit Briefumschlägen, meist Marken entfernt, tls. zensiert Enthält eh. Privatpost vorwiegend von Windeckers Frau an die Schwiegermutter I. von Büchler in Berlin meist aus Singapur sowie aus versch. Hotels (Annam, Baden-Baden, Siemréap (Angkor), Bremen, Cameron Highlands) u. vom Schiff 'Gneisenau' auf entsprechendem Briefpapier von der Hinreise nach Singapur und Rückreise beim Ausbruch des 2. Weltkrieges. Dabei auch Briefe von einer Reise nach Indochina Kambodscha. - Einmalige Korrespondenz des Diplomatenehepaares mit vielen Hintergrundinformationen über das Leben als Diplomat in Asien. - Im Anschluss war Adolf von Windecker als Vertreter für das Auswärtige Amt tätig, u.a. 1941 beim Reichskommissar in Riga, 1944 organisierte er in Konstanz den Austausch von Kriegsgefangenen. - Dabei: 12 kl. OPhotographien u. 4 Zeitungsausschnitte. Singapore - Collection of approx. 52 letters and postcards mainly from Katja Windecker, wife of the German Consul General Dr. Adolf Windecker in Singapore. Mostly with envelopes, mostly stamps removed, some censored. - Contains private mail mainly from Windecker's wife to her mother-in-law I. von Büchler in Berlin mostly from Singapore as well as from various hotels and from the ship 'Gneisenau' on corresponding stationery from the outward journey to Singapore and return journey at the outbreak of World War II. Also letters from a trip to Indochina Cambodia. - Unique correspondence of the diplomatic couple with much background information about life as diplomats in Asia. - Afterwards Adolf von Windecker worked as a representative for the Foreign Office, e.g. in 1941 for the Reich Commissioner in Riga, in 1944 he organised the exchange of prisoners of war in Konstanz. - In add.: 9 small orig. photographs and 4 newspaper cuttings.
