Lithography with contemporary watercolor. 312x480 mm. Glued on backing cardboard. Extremely rare and magnificent view of the city taken from the Ilha das Cobras, with sailing ships plying the Bay of Guanabara. In brilliant contemporary coloring. Philippe Benoist collaborated with the painter Eugene Ciceri to produce spectacular colored lithographs, taken from daguerreotypes, published in Paris by Lemercier around the middle of the 19th century.

Oblong 4to, 132x180 mm. Contemporary red calf binding. 87 photographs of 40x80 mm, pasted, four on each sheet of the album. Several peaks and great views, in different seasons, often in winter with snow, several shots of ski tours. The album also contains several shots taken from an aeroplane, which appears in some photographs.

GONZALEZ, Concordio. Sacred objects for the liturgy. Drawings. 1832 - 1896 6 Sheets of different sizes, from mm. 360x224 in mm. 260x160. Black ink pen on light brown paper. Four sheets are signed. Good condition. Six preparatory studies for the creation of sacred objects in silver: six furnishings for the liturgy are designed with great attention to detail and ornamentation. The objects are: a monstrance, a chalice with handle details, a pyx, a palm with a winged snake, a candelabrum, a reliquary. The Spanish artist Concordio Gonzales was a silversmith specialized in church and liturgical works.
