Calice. Cordova, XVIII secolo. Argento punzonato. Peso: 358 grammi. Marchi sulla base. Misure: 22 x 14 x 14 cm. Calice cordovano in argento punzonato, con l'interno del vaso in argento vermeille. È realizzato in stile tardo barocco, seguendo in particolare i criteri del barocco raffinato, basato sull'espressione della struttura, limitando l'ornamento al piede sottile e alla base. L'aspetto raffinato e classico del barocco si apprezza in una struttura molto curata, con un fusto composto da un'asta che avanza elementi rococò. Stringhe di ovali delimitano una sporgenza, armonizzandosi con il profilo sinuoso del fusto. Il nodo si basa sulla classica forma a vaso tipica del calice barocco, ma il suo profilo si muove verso quello che diventerà il nodo rococò per eccellenza: la pera rovesciata. Per il resto, vediamo una successione di strati orizzontali, che vanno dal piede circolare con gradino, attraverso i vari elementi della struttura del fusto in cui si combinano balaustre di forma cilindrica e mistilinea. Il calice è coronato dalla coppa.

Mostly signed, partly dated. - Each somewhat stained and partly light-stained due to the material, as sketch characteristics each somewhat creased in the margins, partly somewhat unevenly trimmed or torn, with traces of previous mounting or small pinholes in the corners. Overall well preserved.
