Cast metal lamp with yellow glass paste diffuser, Arts and Crafts, probably Bradley & Hubbard Manufactory, United States, early twentieth century, ca. 1920. dome lampshade composed of glass paste panels held by a metal structure that extends from the top and finished along the perimeter with an oak branch with metal leaves and acorns; cylindrical base on a circular foot characterized by ribs arranged to form motifs characteristic of Art Nouveau. The Bradley & Hubbard Manufacturing Company (1852-1940) was founded in Meriden, Connecticut by Walter Hubbard and his brother-in-law, Nathaniel Lyman Bradley, initially producing clocks, doorbells, and sewing machines, before achieving great success with lamps. kerosene with glass shade in the 1870s. The company became the Bradley & Hubbard Manufacturing Company in 1875. In 1940 it was purchased by the Charles Parker Company and has not been heard from since the 1950s.
