Preliminary drawing created by the Czech master Burian for the volume "Gli animali della Preistoria" published in the series Look and discover animals vol. 16 by AMZ in 1971. Trained at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague, Burian began his career as a prehistoric illustrator in the early 1930s, but it was after meeting the paleontologist Josef Augusta in 1935, for whose publications he acted as illustrator, who quickly became one of the most appreciated paleoartists in the world, to the point that in 2017 he was given the honor of giving his name to a new specimen of dinosaur found in the Czech Republic, the Burianosaurus.
