Original illustration made by Montanini for "Radagast the magician", published for the first time in the famous JRR Tolkien Calendar 2000 for the month of May by Rusconi Libri in 1999. Montanini for the Rusconi calendar gave life to the most famous and evocative images from him never made for the Tolkenian universe. "A highly valued sorcerer ... expert in herbs and beasts, and especially a friend of birds. " A museum piece. Signed and dated.
