A Saudi-Arabian Wahabite djambia, 1st half of the 20th century Lame à deux tranchants et plusieurs cannelures des deux côtés. Poignée en bois filigrané, montée en argent, avec rivets décoratifs sur le côté. Fourreau en bois recouvert de cuir avec ferrures de bouche et de lieu en argent travaillées en suite. Ceinture en cuir attachée, poinçonnée de motifs géométriques (doublure en feutre avec piqûres). Longueur du poignard 39 cm. Condition : II - III

William Franklin Document signé Fils illégitime de Benjamin Franklin (1730-1813) qui fut le dernier gouverneur colonial du New Jersey ; contrairement à son père, il resta un loyaliste convaincu tout au long de la guerre d'Indépendance. DS manuscrite, signée "Wm. Franklin", une page, 8,25 x 6,5, 28 novembre 1763. En tant que gouverneur du New Jersey, Franklin ordonne le paiement à "l'honorable Charles Read Esq'r ou à son ordre de la somme de vingt-cinq livres [...] correspondant à une demi-année de salaire en tant qu'un des juges de la Cour suprême". Joliment signé à la fin par le gouverneur William Franklin, et endossé par Charles Read. En très bon état, avec de légères taches et salissures, et une ancienne bande de montage le long du bord gauche.
