Relief funéraire de Gaius Iulius de Byzance. 1er siècle après J.-C. H 53,3cm, L 40,6cm. Marbre blanc, finement cristallisé. Plaque avec champ pictural en creux. A gauche trône une femme vêtue de chiton et d'un himation rabattu sur la tête, tenant probablement une capsule de pavot à la main. A sa droite se tient son époux, vêtu d'un costume de citoyen grec. A sa gauche, une table tripode avec des plats. Dans chacun des coins inférieurs, un serviteur miniaturisé en position de deuil. Sur le bord supérieur, l'inscription ΓΑΙΟΣ ΙΟΥΛΙΟΣ / ΒΥZΑΝΤΕΙΝΟΣ.
