Con marca de imprenta en el reverso y 53 xilografías en el texto de Anton Sylvius según Hans Holbein. 115 fol. morocco (sign.: Zaehnsdorf) con filetes dorados. filetes, título en dorado, algunos dorados, pie y bordes interiores dorados, así como bordes dorados. (tapa trasera con una gran falta). Adams D 76. cf. Adams D 75 y Fairfax Murray German 203 (Primera edición de Colonia ibid. 1555 con 99 y 1 w. fol.). - Segunda edición de Colonia con las reproducciones invertidas lateralmente y algo ampliadas de las xilografías de Lützelburger, publicadas en 1547. - Sin la w. Robert Garrett, 1896 Athens Olympic Champion: Book from His Personal Library Libro firmado: Red Rubber: The Story of the Rubber Slave Trade of the Congo por E. D. Morel. NY: The Nassau Print, 1906. Tapa dura, 5,25 x 7,5, 213 páginas. La portada lleva las iniciales y la fecha de Garrett, "R. G., oct. 1907", encima de su placa personal. Estado del libro: VG/None, con roces y suciedad en el lomo, y una firma posterior ("W. Neumann") en la primera página final. Banquero de inversiones y filántropo de Baltimore, Maryland, Garrett (1875-1961) dejó su impronta en los primeros Juegos Olímpicos modernos de 1896, cuando obtuvo el primer puesto en lanzamiento de disco y peso, convirtiéndose en el campeón inaugural de estas pruebas. También fue segundo en salto de altura y salto de longitud en Atenas, y cuatro años más tarde, en París, obtuvo medallas de bronce en lanzamiento de peso y triple salto en pie.

Middlebrook was a photographer based in South Africa. He opened his photographic studio in Kimberley, the Premier Studio, in the early 1870s and maintained a second studio in Durban. Schultz with images from Dar es Salaam, typographically inscribed and dated 1897 in the print: see above. - Partly stained and rubbed. In seiner Darstellung hält er an Josua 10,12 fest. Er weist in einer Vielzahl von Tabellen und Ausführungen nach, dass die Sonne eine Umlaufbahn hat, sowie die Erde unabhängig von allen anderen Himmelskörpern einen eigenen Orbit, welcher zugleich das imaginäre Zentrum des Universums bildet. - Die Vorsätze erneuert, nur vereinzelt mit unscheinbar blassbraunen Fleckchen. Insgesamt äußerst wohlerhaltenes und sauberes Exemplar. Occult - With 8 folded engraved plates. Cont. cardboard binding with marbled boards, mounted label on spine and three-sided coloured edges (only slightly rubbed and bumped). - First edition. - Rare work by the author, who claims to be a devout Christian. D'Aguila wrote his vision of a geocentric universe in honor of the "Fondateur de cette sublime organisation", of the universe. In a large number of tables and explanations, he proves that the sun has an orbit and that the earth has its own orbit independently of all other celestial bodies, which at the same time forms the imaginary center of the universe. - The endpapers renewed, only a few pp. with inconspicuous pale brown spots.
