Black and red chalk, 19.2 x 22.9 cm, laid paper, dated on the reverse with a handwritten note: "Zonder Wet of Spreuk / 9 Jan. 1809" (pinholes in the corners, some spots). Japanese paper on the edges. Mounted under a mat. Abraham Johannes Ruytenschildt (1778–1841) was a member of the drawing society “Zonder wet of spreuk.”
