376 - Jacques Villon, *Nu*, after Renoir. Post 1923–24. Color aquatint on paper. 595 × 450 mm. Sheet size: 717 × 565 mm. In the lower left corner, “RENOIR PINX”; in the center, “CHALCOGRAPHIE DU LOUVRE”; and in the lower right corner, “JACQUES VILLON SC.” Villon’s work in the 1920s focused on engraving reproductions of works by the great masters; in this case, it is based on one of Renoir’s paintings depicting female nudes and bathers, a recurring theme in his oeuvre. (1) Pinholes scattered along all margins, small spots, and widespread discoloration. The engraving is in good condition.
