From the great names of animal sculpture to the formal innovations of Rodin and Maillol, from Impressionist landscapes to the avant-gardes of Picasso, Miró and Léger, and from the décollages of the Nouveau Réalisme movement to the contemporary works of ORLAN and Banksy, the sales reflect the richness and diversity of artistic expression. Decorative arts and design also feature prominently, alongside singular objects born of scientific research and innovation.
Once again, Drouot confirms its role as a major crossroads of the art market, where the June sales offer collectors and enthusiasts an ever-renewed field of discovery.

Digard Auction will present, on June 2, its sale
Works on Paper & Prestige Editions, bringing together 110 works celebrating some of the leading figures of modern and contemporary art. The auction will feature works by Pablo Picasso, Joan Miró, Fernand Léger and Henri Matisse. Among the highlights is
Tête, a mixed-media work executed by Miró in 1980 and originating from the Maeght Gallery (est. €130,000–150,000), in which the artist deploys his poetic visual language of signs, symbols and floating forms.
The sale will also include
Étude de personnage assis et accoudé sur le plan d’une table, a pencil drawing executed by Picasso in 1914 (est. €100,000–150,000), a rare testimony to his Cubist period, as well as a copy of
La Célestine, the celebrated suite of engravings created in 1968 to accompany the text by Fernando de Rojas. Another major highlight is
Maternité by Paul Delvaux (est. €200,000–250,000), a 1964 watercolor and ink composition that perfectly embodies the artist’s dreamlike and enigmatic universe.

20th-Century Art: painting, sculpture and design
Beaussant Lefèvre & Associés - 20th-Century Art I June 5, 2026
Click on the image to access the catalogue
Beaussant Lefèvre & Associés will dedicate its June 5 sale to 20th-Century Art, bringing together paintings, sculptures and decorative furniture. Among the highlights is a previously unpublished landscape by Alfred Sisley, painted in Moret-sur-Loing in 1889 (est. €200,000–300,000). Having settled in Moret-sur-Loing in 1882, Sisley developed there an almost serial exploration of light and atmosphere, of which this painting is a particularly compelling late example.
The work will be offered alongside
Vase jaune dans le paysage by Fernand Léger, painted in 1938 (est. €220,000–250,000), a landscape by Armand Guillaumin executed at Agay in 1901, and a drawing by Auguste Renoir,
Les Joueuses de croquet, dating from around 1892 (est. €30,000–40,000). Sculpture will also feature prominently with a bronze reduction of Jean d’Aire by Auguste Rodin (est. €120,000–150,000), inspired by
The Burghers of Calais, in which the artist emphasizes gravity and inner tension rather than conventional heroism. The sale will also highlight the decorative arts through a rare coffee table by Marcel Coard, created around 1925 in Macassar ebony veneer and parchment, illustrating the refined craftsmanship and precious materials that characterize the work of this leading Art Deco designer.

Drouot Estimations will soon unveil at Hôtel Drouot an exceptional modern art collection appearing at public auction for the first time. Assembled from the 1970s onward, the collection brings together around fifty previously unseen works by Joan Miró, Diego Giacometti, Pablo Picasso, Jean Paul Riopelle, Balthus and Richard Serra. The highlight of the sale is an outstanding group of eight works by Diego Giacometti, one of the most significant ensembles ever to come to market, led by the console
La Promenade des amis (1976, est. €2–2.5 million), in which two dogs and a horse gather around a tree in a poetic and subtly humorous composition.
Alongside this remarkable group are works by several major 20th-century artists, including two pieces by Joan Miró executed in 1937 and 1938, an untitled painting by Jean Paul Riopelle from 1955, Richard Serra’s
Stratum J, and Balthus’s
Study for The Dream I. The collection also includes six ceramics created by Picasso at the Madoura workshop, exploring some of the artist’s most iconic motifs—owls, fauns and faces—across plates, dishes and pitchers, including
Bouteille gravée (1954) and a white owl dish on a red ground dated 1957.

Tentation No. 4, bringing together modern art, design, and contemporary creation. The auction will feature works by Paul Cézanne, Marcel Coard, and ORLAN, alongside a unique creation made from

Representing contemporary creation, ORLAN’s
Smart Arlequinade, completed in 2026 (est. €15,000–20,000), transforms a car into a mobile sculpture inspired by the microbiome and biotechnology, extending the artist’s long-standing reflections on the body and hybridization. Finally, the auction will feature a unique handbag crafted from
T-Rex Leather™(est. €300,000–500,000), a material developed from reconstructed Tyrannosaurus rex proteins, situated at the intersection of luxury, experimental design, and scientific innovation.

L’Huilier & Associés will dedicate its June 16 sale to
The Golden Age of Hi-Fi, bringing together a remarkable selection of iconic audio equipment from the 1950s to the 1970s. Blending acoustic innovation, futuristic design and the history of sound reproduction, the sale will feature several legendary pieces sought after by both audiophiles and design enthusiasts. Among the highlights is the celebrated ELIPSON “Religieuse” loudspeaker (est. €7,000–9,000), developed in the early 1960s for engineers of the French national broadcasting service (R.T.F.) and now regarded as a landmark of French acoustic design thanks to its distinctive ovoid form.

Major Rediscovries from the Italian Renaissance and the Baroque Period
Ader - Old Master Pintings, Furniture & Works of Art | June 16, 2026
Click on the image to access the catalogue
On June 16 at Hôtel Drouot, Ader will unveil two major rediscoveries from the Italian Renaissance and the Baroque era, both from a private collection and appearing at public auction for the first time. The works include a
Portrait of a Saint painted around 1476–1477 by Antonello da Messina (est. €1–2 million) and
The Battle of the Amazons, an early masterpiece by Peter Paul Rubens executed circa 1603–1606 (est. €2–3 million), whose whereabouts had been unknown since the 17th century until its rediscovery in 2005. One of the most celebrated figures of the Renaissance, Antonello da Messina is known today through only around forty surviving works, making this newly identified painting a significant addition to his oeuvre.
The panel displays several hallmarks of Antonello’s art, including the frontal presentation of the figure, the delicacy of its modelling, and the synthesis of Flemish and Italian Renaissance influences. The second rediscovery highlights one of Rubens’s earliest masterpieces. Painted during his stay in Mantua,
The Battle of the Amazons unfolds as a dramatic scene in which horsemen, horses, and lances collide in a composition of extraordinary dynamism, enriched by references to Antiquity and the great masters of the Renaissance. The work already reveals the energy, movement, and theatrical power that would establish Rubens as one of the foremost innovators of European Baroque art.
