CHURCHILL shotguns,. two-shot, 12-65 caliber, ejectors. Bronzed barrels, signed "EJ CHURCHILL GUNMAKERS LtD 39 to 42 LEICESTER SQUARE LONDON", numbered and marked "XXV" in gold on the band. Lock plates signed "EJ CHURCHILL", numbered keys, rockers decorated in gold with British crowns and bronzed bridges fully engraved with foliate scrolls. Double triggers. English crossbars in fine marbled walnut, partly checkered. Barrel length: 63 cm. Stock length: 40 cm. Total length: 109 cm. In its brown leather-covered, burgundy felt-lined, "VC Guncase" with "JPEM" numbering, with Churchill House" labels,. with protective cloth cover. N°3701 and 3702. Provenance: JP Etienne Maze (1922-1989), son of the painter Paul Maze (1887-1979),. who was friends with the famous Winston Churchill. Maze was Churchill's "artistic mentor", encouraging him to develop his painting and drawing techniques. NOTE: Special conditions for the purchase of category C weapons subject to declaration As a reminder, since August 1, 2018, category D-1 has been abolished. Weapons in this category move to declarable category C. To purchase Category C weapons subject to declarations, the purchaser must provide identification and a valid hunting license for the year (or previous year) or a valid shooting license (or previous year). Category C firearms will only be issued after consultation of the FINIADA file (Fichier National des Interdits d'acquisition et de détention d'armes), communication of the AIS number and verification that the digital rack has been opened. If the buyer of a category C firearm is registered in the FINIADA file, the sale will automatically be null and void. The purchaser must sign the police book and draw up a CERFA form. No claims will be entertained once the auction has been announced, as the prior exhibition will have enabled us to examine the guns, take them in hand and take any necessary measures.
