Some 400 lots will be featured, all centered on the sacred arts of the Catholic faith. Their estimates will range from €30 to €5,000, with the exception of a Virgin and Child(known asthe “Sedes sapientiæ”) from northern Italy, created c. 1300, carved in the round from wood, gilded and polychromed, which could fetch €10,000–15,000. Also of note is a reliquary cross by the19th-century master silversmith Armand-Calliat, crafted in silver and vermeil, with rich engraved decoration of scrollwork and foliage, featuring sixteen reliquary niches housing a total of 39 saints (4,000/5,000 €), and a rare falda worn by Pius IX and later Leo XIII, accompanied by a 1912 Vatican document stating that it was used in Gaeta in 1848 (2,000/3,000 €).
