Anmerkung: Letzten Winter gaben Aston Martin und Bowmore offiziell ihre Partnerschaft für einige kommende Überraschungen bekannt. Und die erste, die die ikonischen Marken enthüllen wollen, ist dieser exklusive Whisky. Die Veröffentlichung greift auf die schwindenden Bestände des Black Bowmore zurück, der 1964 erstmals destilliert wurde und zu einem der begehrtesten Single Malts der Welt geworden ist. Dieselbe Ära ist auch für Aston Martin von Bedeutung, da 1963 die Markteinführung des berühmten, von Bond bevorzugten Aston Martin DB5 stattfand. Vom Black Bowmore DB5 werden nur 25 Flaschen herausgegeben, und jede einzelne wird von einem schottischen Glasstudio in Handarbeit hergestellt, was bis zu einer Woche dauert. Die Flaschen werden in einer handgefertigten Präsentationsbox aufbewahrt, die von der Küstenheimat der Brennerei inspiriert ist. Sie hat eine tiefblaue Farbe sowie einen massiven Messingverschluss und Scharniere, die mit Nickel beschichtet sind.
