戈布兰刺绣画《历史主义》 19世纪下半叶，横长方形，采用细密的彩色小针法刺绣，绣于麻布上， 描绘了一只栖息在花盆上的孔雀，两侧簇拥着硕大的花朵，作品置于玻璃后，装裱于镂空木框内，木框饰有青铜色灰泥装饰件和桦木根部制成的装饰条，画框存在极轻微的材质缺损，其余部分保存状况良好，符合其年代特征， 刺绣尺寸 24 x 35 厘米，画框最大尺寸 39 x 53 厘米。
