大卫·雅克-路易（1748—1825） 一封非常精美的亲笔签名信，于1818年5月22日从布鲁塞尔寄给画家弗朗索瓦-约瑟夫·纳韦兹（1787 - 1869）。四开纸一页，笔迹优美流畅，正反两面均有书写。 纳韦兹受布鲁塞尔美术协会派遣前往罗马，曾将部分作品呈交给其恩师兼挚友雅克-路易·大卫审阅——当时大卫流亡于布鲁塞尔，审阅地点设在亨普廷家族的客厅内。 大卫在这封信中直言不讳：“我最欣赏你这幅画的地方在于其情感表达；但色彩缺乏决断力，尚不具备区分大师之作的特质，透着学生般的怯懦，（……）”。 这封信的内容刊载于路易·阿尔文为弗朗索瓦-约瑟夫·纳韦兹撰写的传记中，该传记发表于1871年《比利时皇家学院年鉴》第117页。 信中提到的这幅画，很可能是赠送给德·亨普廷娜小姐的《圣家：圣母拥抱圣婴》。尺寸：约25.7×20.3厘米。
