J. 斯通铜版制作的福尔斯版画（约1833年） 一幅引人注目的《独立宣言》宣纸版画，尺寸24.5 x 28，于1833年根据斯通的铜版印制，收录于彼得·福尔斯的《美国档案》中。《独立宣言》开篇名句为：“1776年7月4日，于国会。 美利坚十三州的一致宣言。”作品经精美裱衬并装框，整体尺寸为33×37。品相极佳，仅有不显眼的交叉折痕（原版特征）、少量轻微褶皱及淡微的移印痕迹。 到1820年，由于处理和保存不当，原始《独立宣言》已严重损毁，因此迫切需要制作一份复制品。受约翰·昆西·亚当斯委托，威廉·J·斯通通过直接从原件上提取墨迹，刻制了一块铜版，制作出了完美的复制品。 他印制了201份后，便将铜版存放起来以确保安全。 后来，彼得·福斯受国会委托，印制了一套以美国建国文献为内容的书籍——现称为《美国档案》。 为此，斯通的铜版画被从仓库中取出，用于在宣纸上制作新副本，这些副本左下角刻有“W.J.
