China, late 19th century, early 20th century, in ceramics for export. Polychromed with their traditional decorations and modelled with their mouths open and seated, one with a paw resting on a small puppy, the other with a paw resting on a ball, resting on traditional Chinese supports. Beautifully hand-decorated in a glazed majolica style in green, yellow and aubergine. Wear and tear from use and age. This lot can be seen at the SetdartBarcelona Gallery located at C/Aragón, 346.
