Nice inside copy. Very rare collection of Budé's works and Budé's edition of classical authors, ed. by Celio Secondo Curione (1503-1569). Our copy corresponds to the 1st vol. of the first edition of Budé's "Opera omnia" (4 vol., 1557), but printed with its own title to be sold separately. It contains i.a. Budé's "Epistolarum Latinarum lib. V" and "Epistolarum Graecarum lib. I", and some works by Aristotle, Philo of Alexandria, Plutarch, and Basil of Caesarea. Ill. with elegant and fine woodcut initials. Large printer's mark on title and on last f. This edition is still in use for studies on Budé and on Northern humanism. Ref.
