Under passe-partout, wooden frame. Enigmatic portrait of a hooded woman. Campotosto (1833-1910) was mostly known as a landscape painter but also portraits are part of his oeuvre. He sometimes collaborated with Eugène Verboeckhoven and moved to London in 1871, where he stayed for the rest of his life.
