Importante TAPPETO di Samarcanda (Sinkiang, confine tra Cina e Russia) La Via della Seta Circa 1975. Velluto di lana su base di cotone. Campo color avorio con decorazione a mosaico di motivi floreali geometrici nei toni del rosa salmone e del turchese, impreziosito da sei medaglioni disposti attorno a una struttura dentellata e simmetrica. Le sue estensioni geometriche richiamano in modo molto astratto fiori sbocciati o simboli tribali protettivi. Bordo principale rosa salmone con decorazione a file di fogliame a pizzo a forma di onde stilizzate che circondano piccoli calici stilizzati. Lunghezza: 382 cm. Larghezza: 267 cm. (Tappeto che necessita di pulizia, presenta macchie).
