Parigi, Hachette et Cie (collana “Bibliothèque des Merveilles”), 1869. In-8, mezza pelle di marocco rossa con bordatura a freddo, dorso con nervature incorniciate a freddo, fioroni dorati tra le nervature, autore, titolo e data impressi a caldo in oro, risguardi e controcopertine in carta pettinata, testa dorata (rilegatura d’epoca). 364 pagine, 121 vignette xilografiche nel testo. Lievi segni sulla pelle, lievi segni di sfregamento, dorso leggermente sbiadito, macchie di ossidazione. Terza edizione di questo importante studio di Amédée Guillemin (1826-1893), celebre divulgatore scientifico del XIX secolo, che traccia un quadro completo della rete ferroviaria, allora al culmine della sua espansione sotto il Secondo Impero. Strutturato in 3 parti (La linea ferroviaria, Il materiale rotabile, L’esercizio e le stazioni), è illustrato da 121 vignette xilografiche inserite nel testo. Piacevole esemplare su carta cinese con una bella rilegatura d’epoca.
