PETER ROBERT KEIL (Polonia, 1942). Senza titolo. Tecnica mista su cartoncino. Firmato nell’angolo in basso a sinistra. Dimensioni: 100 x 69 cm; 106 x 77 cm (con cornice). Peter Robert Keil si avvicinò al mondo dell’arte grazie alla sua famiglia e nel 1954 iniziò a studiare con il pittore Otto Nagel. Tra il 1959 e il 1961 ha studiato all’Università delle Arti di Berlino, dove ha incrociato il cammino di artisti quali Georg Baselitz e Markus Lüpertz. I suoi soggiorni a Parigi, Londra, Maiorca e negli Stati Uniti hanno contribuito all’evoluzione del suo stile. Inizialmente influenzato dall’Espressionismo tedesco e dall’opera di Picasso, a partire dagli anni ’60 sviluppò uno stile pittorico spontaneo e dinamico, caratterizzato da colori intensi, pennellate energiche e uno stile figurativo ben lontano dal realismo. Negli anni ’80 entrò a far parte del movimento dei Neue Wilden (Nuovi Selvaggi) a Berlino. Attualmente vive e lavora in Germania, a Berlino e a Los Angeles.
