Bellissima prova su carta velina sottile in due pezzi giuntati, colori molto vivaci, montata su tela. Ampia traccia chiara di ossidazione al centro del soggetto. Piccole tracce di colla in superficie in corrispondenza della giuntura. Brevi strappi e piccoli difetti ai bordi del foglio. Margini integri. " Originariamente intitolata *La Coca degli Incas*, secondo i primi riferimenti riportati da *La Plume* e *L’Estampe et l’Affiche*, il *Vino degli Incas* era apparentemente una pozione a base di coca venduta in farmacia con la vaga pretesa medica di aiutare i “convalescenti”. [...] C’è un mistero che avvolge questa stampa. Il volto dell’indiano riproduce fedelmente quello di un sacerdote scolpito sul bassorilievo di una stele che si può ancora ammirare al Museo di Antropologia di Città del Messico. » (J. Rennert e A.
