Maurice Dumont (1869-1899) Ayez votre chimère. 1893. Disegno. Inchiostro viola e acquerello su carta vergata. [255 x 350 mm]. In alto a destra, all’interno di un rettangolo, una poesia manoscritta di tre strofe, “All’amico Durier”, firmata da M. Dumont e datata “Settembre 1893”. In calce, dedica: «Al mio carissimo / Amico / A. Durier / Con tutta sincerità / M.D. / 1893». Alcune lievi macchie di ruggine e leggera ossidazione. L’angolo inferiore destro strappato. Timbro AABM (Lugt 3075). Nel 1893, Maurice Dumont realizzò un ex libris inciso per il suo amico, il farmacista Adrien Durier, raffigurante una chimera di profilo che si dirige verso un sole recante la scritta «Seguitela! " (A. e A. Bonafous-Murat, Maurice Dumont e L’Épreuve, 2). Questo disegno sembra esserne uno studio preparatorio.
