Bellissima e fresca prova su carta giapponese, precedente alla riduzione del rame (il soggetto era stato inciso sul retro della lastra di *La Mère et la Mort*, Van Gelder 104). Tutti i margini non rifilati. Timbro AABM (Lugt 3075). Stampa realizzata per le prime copie di un’opera dedicata a Rodolphe Bresdin, mai pubblicata. Non si conoscono prove antiche di questa incisione. La lastra di rame fu successivamente ridotta a 85 x 122 mm. «È possibile che Bresdin non abbia mai stampato prove di questa fantasia, talvolta chiamata anche *Le Rosier*. » (Dirk van Gelder, Rodolphe Bresdin, vol.
