I.F.F. 204; V. Carlson et al., Regency to Empire, French Printmaking 1715-1814, The Baltimore Museum of Arts and The Minneapolis Institute of Arts, 1984, n. 119. Bella stampa su carta velina bianca, leggermente ossidata. Piccoli residui di colla lungo i bordi sul retro. Bei margini. Timbro AABM (Lugt 3075). Il dipinto originale di Isabey è conservato al Museo della Rivoluzione Francese di Vizille. Il modello era un pittore di storia, allievo di Jacques-Louis David. Collaborò con François Gérard a diverse grandi composizioni. La sua prestanza gli valse di posare come modello, oltre che per Isabey, anche per Gérard e Ingres.
