Claude Gellée, detto Le Lorrain (1600-1682) Il passaggio del guado. 1634. Acquaforte. 164 x 105 [180 x 115 mm]. Robert-Dumesnil 3; Mannocci 12. Bellissima prova su carta vergata, del 2° stato B (su 5 secondo Mannocci), con il nome dell’artista leggermente raschiato, con i due brevi graffi verticali nel cielo a destra dell’albero al centro e il piccolo difetto che forma una virgola nera alla sua sinistra. A sinistra tra le nuvole, sottilissimi tratti bianchi curvilinei (difetto di inchiostrazione o graffi). Sopra gli animali, piccolo e abile ritocco che forma due sottili linee bianche triangolari. Piccole macchie d’inchiostro sul bordo della lastra. Minuscole macchioline. Tracce di colla leggermente ossidate agli angoli e in alto sul retro. Piccola screpolatura nella parte superiore centrale sul retro. Margini stretti. Ex collezione del Dr. Julius Hofmann (Lugt 1264). Timbro AABM (Lugt 3075).
