GIAPPONE - XIX secolo Campana da tempio in bronzo (bonshô 梵鐘), di forma tradizionale; . Nella parte superiore, il gancio di sospensione (ryûzu 竜頭) è modellato a forma di due teste di drago che si fronteggiano. L’ampia fascia centrale è decorata, in rilievo, con una coppia di esseri celesti (tennin 天人) che si muovono tra volute di nuvole, accompagnati da caratteri sanscriti (bonji 梵字) anch’essi in rilievo. Un’iscrizione precisa la data e il/i committente/i: «15° anno dell’era Tenpō, anno Kōshin» (天保十五年歳在甲辰), ovvero l’anno 1844. Dimensioni: Altezza 59,5 cm, diametro 31 cm. Peso: 38,3 kg.
