GIAPPONE - XX secolo Gong in lega metallica, sospeso a un supporto Il gong qui raffigurato è decorato con un motivo a crisantemo in rilievo, affiancato da una coppia di fenici (*hô'ô*) in volo. Questo tipo di strumento viene percosso durante la recitazione dei sutra. Il gong è dotato di supporti traforati finemente scolpiti a forma di nuvole vorticose, impreziositi da pigmenti policromi. Al centro figura un emblema raffigurante un glicine. Il set è accompagnato da un martello. (segni di usura, piccole perdite di doratura...) Dimensioni: Set: altezza 58,5 cm, larghezza 52,8 cm, profondità 26 cm Gong (*kei*): altezza 12,5 cm, larghezza 20,5 cm Martello (*bachi*): lunghezza 27 cm.
