Maschera da danza Okukwé, etnia Galoa, Gabon. Bella maschera antropomorfa in legno intagliato e policromo, caratterizzata da un volto ovale con occhi socchiusi, arcate sopracciliari arcuate e naso rettilineo. La composizione è animata da un motivo geometrico di triangoli neri, pigmenti bianchi e sfumature rosso-marroni, con una patina dovuta all’uso e segni di usura antica. L’insieme conserva un’abbondante decorazione in fibre vegetali che forma l’acconciatura e il rivestimento attorno al viso. Il retro è incavato e presenta tracce di intaglio e vecchie etichette da collezione (J. Lecluse, Liegi). Base inclusa. Altezza: 34 cm
