Liebermann. - Bibliografia: Catalogo ragionato: Schiefler 38 - Insieme a L. Corinth e M. Slevogt, Liebermann è il più famoso impressionista tedesco. L. studiò all’Accademia di Berlino con C. Steffeck e a Weimar con F. Pauwels. Nonostante alcune resistenze, contribuì alla diffusione dell’impressionismo in Germania. Nel 1897 divenne professore all’Accademia di Berlino; un anno dopo fu tra i cofondatori della Secessione berlinese, di cui fu anche presidente per molti anni.
