Robertson, James Costantinopoli. Circa 1853-57. 4 stampe su carta salata, montate su cartoncino. Ciascuna misura circa 24,5 x 28,5 cm o viceversa (i cartoncini di montaggio misurano 54,3 x 37,8 cm o viceversa). Ciascuna firmata «Robertson» in negativo in basso a destra. Il gruppo comprende vedute del portale sud del complesso della Süleymaniye; la moschea Nusretiye e Tophane; moschee e architettura imperiale a Costantinopoli; e fontane ottomane, tra cui il padiglione delle Acque Dolci d’Asia. – I cartoncini presentano lievi macchie dovute al tempo, piccoli segni di manipolazione, lievi macchie di ossidazione sparse e occasionali segni di usura sui bordi e agli angoli; un cartoncino presenta una piccola perdita nell’angolo in alto a sinistra. Le stampe presentano occasionali piccole macchie e un leggero scolorimento, in particolare lungo i bordi; per il resto sono tutte in ottime condizioni, con toni intensi e caldi.
