CINA, dinastia Tang (618-907) Statuetta in terracotta raffigurante un guardiano di tomba, zhenmushou (detto anche spirito della terra), la chimera seduta su una base, con la testa di leone o di cane che mostra le zanne, con criniera e coda ricciute, e corna lungo la schiena e sulla testa; tracce di policromia (nero, bianco, rosso, marrone, ecc.). La punta di una corna è stata restaurata. Altezza 32 cm (LDM) Corredata dal rapporto di analisi termoluminescente redatto da Oxford Authentication Ltd., datato 2 febbraio 2005, che conferma la datazione. Si allega una seconda statuetta in terracotta raffigurante anch’essa un guardiano di tomba, zhenmushou, questa con testa umana, sopracciglia aggrottate, resti di policromia, Cina, stile Tang. H. 32 cm. Manca la punta di una corna.
