Frammento di statua, Egitto, Nuovo Regno, XVIII-XIX dinastia (circa 1550-1186 a.C.). raffigurante un personaggio inginocchiato che regge un naos sormontato da due coccodrilli, uno dei quali è oggi scomparso. All’ingresso del naos è raffigurata una Hathor antropomorfa in piedi. L’iscrizione fa riferimento a una dichiarazione dello scriba Sobekmes al dio locale Sobek, signore di Soumenou. La statua doveva trovarsi nel tempio dedicato a quest’ultimo. Calcare. Urti e mancamenti visibili. Nessun restauro. Resti di pigmenti ocra.
