In-12, marocchino rosso, tripla filettatura dorata che incornicia i piatti, dorso con nervature decorate, bordi dorati (H. Duru). [XLII (su XLIV)] + 380 + [XV] pp. Un ritratto di Cristina di Svezia, alla quale l’opera è dedicata, inciso da Pieter CLOUWET e dieci incisioni a tutta pagina non firmate. Proveniente dalle biblioteche del cavaliere de La Motte, con ex libris manoscritto sul foglio di guardia, e del poeta e uomo politico Léon LAURENT-PICHAT (1823-1886), con ex libris. Titolo-frontespizio (ã1) mancante; antica annotazione in latino sul frontespizio in fine. «Questa edizione, la più bella tra tutte quelle realizzate dell’Alaric, è stata stampata da Foppens […] In seguito sono stati sostituiti con nuovi titoli, datati 1656.» (Willems, 1973).
