Marcel Damboise (1903-1992) Busto di Jean-Louis Barrault (1910-1994) 1940 Gesso da atelier laccato con gomma Firmato sul piedistallo: DAMBOISE A. 48,5; L. 35; P. 25 cm Nel 1939-1940 Marcel Damboise e Jean-Louis Barrault furono entrambi mobilitati e si incontrarono nella sezione di mimetizzazione al castello di Ermenonville. Damboise realizza il ritratto dell’attore: quest’ultimo, all’epoca trentenne, entra a far parte della Comédie-Française. Il busto fu esposto al Salon des Tuileries nel 1943. Jean-Louis Barrault conservava una copia in bronzo del proprio ritratto nel suo camerino al Teatro dell’Odéon.
