Marthe Spitzer (1877-1956) Nudo femminile in piedi Bronzo con patina nera Firmato “Marthe Spitzer” Reca il marchio del fonditore “Alexis Rudier / Fondeur. Paris” Altezza: 60 cm Dopo gli studi musicali, Marthe Spitzer si forma alla scultura con Madeleine Carpentier e Jean Boucher. Incoraggiata da Charles Despiau, espone al Salon des Artistes français tra il 1907 e il 1914. Nel 1914 vi presenta in particolare una statuetta in gesso raffigurante una Donna nuda, che potrebbe corrispondere al modello del nostro bronzo. Dopo un soggiorno in Spagna, dove riscuote un grande successo al Salon Lacoste di Madrid nel 1917, al suo ritorno espone ai Saloni d’Autunno e delle Tuileries.
