Documento della Repubblica Elvetica Svizzera, datato 18 maggio 1799 e firmato: Salis Sewis. Lettera di Johann Gaudenz Gubert von Salis-Seewis (1762-1834) al comandante Paravicini Schultess. Incorniciato Altezza 35 cm Larghezza 22 cm Johann Gaudenz von Salis-Seewis (1762–1834) fu un poeta, ufficiale e politico svizzero appartenente alla famiglia nobile grigionese dei von Salis. Durante il periodo di servizio militare al servizio della Francia, si distinse come autore di poesia in lingua tedesca. Simpatizzava con gli ideali della Rivoluzione francese e si impegnò a favore dell’annessione dei Grigioni alla Repubblica Elvetica, nella cui armata prestò servizio nel 1799 in qualità di capo di Stato Maggiore.
