Maestro fiammingo del XVI secolo Maria Lactans Olio su tavola. 40,5 x 38 cm. Provenienza Lempertz, Colonia, 18/11/1965, lotto 20 (attribuito a Cornelis van Cleve). – Quittenbaum Kunstauktionen, Monaco di Baviera, 20/03/2024 (attribuito a Joos van Cleve, cerchia). – Collezione privata sassone. L’intima rappresentazione fiamminga di una Maria Lactans raffigura la Vergine in un abito alla moda, bordato di pelliccia, nei toni del blu scuro e del magenta. Con mani tanto grandi quanto eleganti, regge i delicati piedini del Bambino Gesù, che si è rannicchiato al suo seno e guarda gli spettatori. Il dipinto, opera di un maestro fiammingo del XVI secolo, presenta alcune variazioni rispetto alle rappresentazioni affini del cosiddetto «Maestro con il pappagallo» (cfr. lotto 1014 in questa asta), attivo con la sua bottega ad Anversa intorno al 1520–30.
