CASSETTO CHELSEA BODKIN, CIRCA 1765 / 70 di forma cilindrica, con la parte superiore modellata a forma di busto di donna con copricapo decorato a rametti verdi e rossi e uno scialle turchese e marrone rossiccio, il corpo decorato con motivi lineari dorati a forma di scaglie che circondano un cartiglio rococò con un cesto di fiori e il motto soprastante «JE MATTACHE A / LA PLUS BELLE», con montature dorate a foglia sul bordo e rivestimento interno in metallo dorato, lunghezza 13,5 cm Provenienza: proveniente da una collezione privata, St John’s Wood, Londra; Sotheby’s, Londra, 14 dicembre 1972, lotto 47, dove era indicato come «Proveniente dalla Wallace Collection». Si veda un altro esemplare dello stesso motivo conservato al Musée Cognacq-Jay di Parigi, n. inv. J598, sebbene lì sia descritto come porcellana tedesca a pasta dura.
