Jean COCTEAU. (1889-1963) "Orfeo che volge lo sguardo…", 1956 Litografia in bianco e nero (tiratura Mourlot), colorata dall’artista su carta velina. Firmata e datata in basso a destra sulla lastra, con l’indicazione «Menton» in basso a sinistra. Controfirmata dall’artista a matita rossa in alto a destra e con l’iscrizione «i/j» a matita in basso a sinistra. Dimensioni: 50,5 x 65,5 cm Esperti: (Il foglio è fissato alle estremità su un cartoncino, probabilmente staccabile; presenta macchie, piccoli strappi sui bordi e lievi pieghe nella parte inferiore.) In occasione della stampa da parte di Mourlot di questa litografia in bianco e nero, Jean Cocteau ha colorato e firmatone nuovamente alcune copie (in genere una decina) relative a diversi soggetti riguardanti il Comune di Menton. Nessuna di queste stampe è colorata in modo identico. Ringraziamo la signora Annie Guédras che ha gentilmente autenticato quest’opera e fornito preziose informazioni al riguardo.
