ISPIRAZIONE ALL'ANTICHITÀ L'arrotino e Venere accovacciata. Due figure appaiate in bronzo con patina marrone. Altezza: 9 cm. Su piedistalli di forma rettangolare in marmo giallo di Siena, le basi in bronzo sono ornate da fregi a foglie d’acqua. Italia, XIX secolo, opera detta del Grand Tour. Altezza: 7 cm - Larghezza: 10 cm - Profondità: 5,3 cm. (segni di usura sulle patine, alcune scheggiature nei marmi). Scheda descrittiva: Riduzioni in bronzo tratte da due originali antichi in marmo, conservati rispettivamente alla Galleria degli Uffizi e al Museo del Louvre. I suddetti modelli furono copiati nello stesso materiale nel XVII secolo per essere collocati come coppia sulla scalinata del parterre nord del parco della Reggia di Versailles. Queste ultime due copie sono oggi conservate al Museo del Louvre [n. inv. MR 1853 e MR 1826].
