Questa edizione dell’opera di Chippendale è considerata la più importante raccolta di disegni di mobili inglesi del XVIII secolo. Spaziando dal rococò francese e veneziano, al gotico e allo stile cinese, questi disegni venivano utilizzati per creare interni coordinati in una vasta gamma di stili. Le tavole furono incise da Darly, Foster, Taylor, Clowes, Miller e altri su disegno di Chippendale.
