Questa rara incisione su rame è tratta da *Genteel Household Furniture, In the Present Taste with an addition of several Articles never before Executed*, a cura di una Società di tappezzieri, ebanisti, ecc. Stampato per Robert Sayer, Londra 1765. Si sa ben poco di questa Società, ma si ritiene che fosse un gruppo composto dai più rinomati produttori e designer di mobili di Londra. Robert Manwaring ha probabilmente contribuito alla maggior parte dei disegni delle sedie. Altri disegni sono stati attribuiti a Thomas Johnson, William Ince e John Mayhew, Thomas Chippendale, Matthias Lock e Matthias Darley.
